Native American Zuni Deer Skin Hide American Flag w Written Message on Reverse

I bought this at the Zuni pueblo almost 20 years ago because I thought it was so very cool. The first time I read it, I actually got chills.  I don't know who made it but it obviously was made by someone living on the Zuni reservation.  This deer skin leather was painted or dyed to look like an American flag.  On the back is a message written by the artist that says.... (and this will be exactly how it is written, including any misspellings, and lack of punctuation).  He/she wrote :
"Long before the white man ever stepped ashore upon America
Generations of American Indians as they became known freely
inhabited this beautiful Land.
Although the Indian was no stranger to conflict the appearance of
the white man brought new attitudes difficult for the Indian to
accept as manifest destiny would have the white man's
determination to domination to dominate and own property coupled with this
technology and broken promises forever changed the simple yet
demanding lifestyle of the Indian Eventually the clash of cultures
became so extreme that history records it as on of the most colorful
era's of conflict the world has ever known.
Flowing in today's American Indian is the proud persistent
persecuted yet tolerantly wise blood of this fore fathers whose counsel
to every American today would be to seek not after revenge another
spoil of war but to restore the balance between Mother Earth and it's
peoples"
I think it's a beautiful sentiment and wise words I wish we could all follow.  This is not new but I don't know the age of it. It could be 50 years old, I just don't know.  I do know that I bought it in 2005 and it was old or considered a vintage piece then. There are also some white types of staining that were there when I bought it.  This measures about 51" vx 49" Please see all photos.
