    Description

King John of England, the signer of the Magna Carta during the age of Robin Hood , 1199-1216 AD Silver Penny. Purchased in Bath , England in the 1980s in a coin store. Portrait of John with crown is inside of a triangle (which I understand means it was probable used in Ireland however most have crown at tip of triangle and this one has face at tip and crown on flat part which is different for most I see. I am not an expert on Medieval coin so any explanation would be appreciated, thanks for looking at the pictures.
