    Copeland Hand Painted Signed Mill Dam Bowman Family Armorial Crest Plate C. 1880
    Nice porcelain bone china dinner plate. Decorated with a hand painted scene of a mill dam, bridge, and trees. With the Bowman family armorial crest. Gold gilding along the edge. Signed by the artist with the name of the scene and the date 1880, though I cannot make out all of the writing. Marked on the back with a Copeland mark used between 1851 and 1885.
    Has some crazing typical of bone china and minor wear to the gilding, but otherwise good condition with no chips or cracks.
    Measures approximately 9 3/4 inches wide.
    This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece.
