ANTIQUE STEVENS “STAR” CAST IRON CAP GUN 1890***

Description

This STAR cap gun was made in 1890 with a three star rating for rarity. It is described in Sam Logan/Charles Best book “Cast Iron Toy Guns and Cap Shooters” on page 140(S34.3.1). This cap gun is 6 7/8 inches in length. It is a single shot, single action, which means it has to be cocked every time to fire it. It takes a single cap and has a cylinder which doesn't rotate. The word “STAR” is clearly embossed on both sides of the gun.
This gun shows some fading but is in very good condition. Please refer to the pictures. This is a toy cap gun. It cannot be altered to shoot any type of projectile.
