    Description

1922 United Kingdom/Great Britain George 5th (Georgivs V) One Penny
Hello Collectors, Jamie Graser here again, I am the Antique/Vintage Car Emblems/Badges, Magazines, Pepsi-Cola, Matchbooks and many other Seller. Here is what I DID NOT KNOW when my mother called me a couple years ago and said, "Come get all this stuff before I throw it away!" What I did not know was the shear amount of "other collectibles" that my Mom and Step-dad collected. I found this box stuffed in the back of a closet, no explanation, just hundreds of coins from all over the world, the other box was full of WWII and Pre-WWII coins and currency. I have not yet started on those, but the coins I am going to offer are old, they are genuine and I hope to get them to a good home! I am not trying to gauge on price, so IF I have priced something too high and you want it for lower, please make me an offer! I used to do a lot of auctions, but they took too long, so now I put a price on 'Buy it Now' and I open it up for anyone to make an offer. I have found this works better, but then again, I am not trying to get rich here on eBay! eBay sure likes to take their cut and I am alright with that, as I am having fun going through all this stuff. So here are a few coins, let me know if you want certain countries or years posted, I have over 500 see last picture and these are JUST the non-US Coins and currency.
GEORGIVS V  DEI GRA: BRITT: OMN REX: FID: DEF: IND IMP.
Translated from Latin: George the Fifth, by the Grace of God, King of all the Britain's, Defender of the Faith, Emperor of India. By long-standing tradition, the legends of ruling British monarchs are rendered in Latin. On coinage, these are abbreviated because of the limited space available.
Regarding his particular year and penny, only
16,346,711 were stuck, so there's that!
Created by: Sir Edgar Bertram Mackennal
, KCVO (12 June 1863 - 10 October 1931), usually known as Bertram Mackennal, he was an Australian sculptor, most famous for designing the coinage and stamps bearing the likeness of
    King George V
    .
This effigy shows the portrait of the King facing left; around, the legend (in Latin); the artist's initials
    BM
are in small letters on the neck truncation.
The effigy was only used on Imperial coinage (in the United Kingdom itself); colonial coinage had the crowned bust, also by Bertram.
